Brooke + Jeff

Q: Tell us about your wedding!

A: The main idea for the wedding was simple. We just wanted what we needed to have a great time ourselves and for our family and friends. The colors we chose were bright blue and light pink.

Q: Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?

A: We used a lot of baby’s breath and pink roses, very simple. We made boxes for Hershey’s kisses that had our date on the wrapper, card box was made, and the hashtag for our wedding had signs made.

Q: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

A: Our floral arrangements were baby’s breath, pinkĀ  and light blue roses. The flowers looked great on the arch behind us during the ceremony. The flowers made the overall wedding look great and simple, which I wanted.

Q: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

A: We gave guests a selection of a popcorn and sweet treats. One of my favorite parts of the wedding was dancing with dad, whom is in a wheelchair and also the sparkler send off with awesome pictures.

Q: Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

A: I didn’t go to very many places to look at dresses and I felt most comfortable and beautiful in my dress. The colors of the suits just looked great on my husband so I knew we had to go with that.

Q: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

A: We actually met while working in the plumbing department at Menards, which is a hardware store. Jeff proposed to me on a mountain at a ski resort in Utah. Total surprise had no idea. Unfortunately the day after I tore some ligaments falling down one trail. I don’t think I noticed because I was overly happy about being engaged.

Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

A: The most anticipated moment of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing him for the first time. The rest was so easy and so much fun.

Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

A: Don’t stress about things the day of. I am from Evansville, IN, my wedding in Sevierville. TN and my veil and wedding shoes were left there. But I honestly did not care. I am getting married no matter what I am wearing, and I know Jeff didn’t care either way. I stopped at the first shoe store I found and got the only pair of sparkly heels in there and I didn’t even worry about getting a veil. I was not worried about little details. As long as we were able to get married that day, I didn’t care about anything else. Overall just have fun. I had a blast my wedding day, wish I could do it over again. The best day ever!
