Beauty and the Beast Party

Beauty and the Beast Party for our 5 year old Princess!

Every year my daughter asks to have a theme birthday party and this year she wanted it to be “Beauty and the Beast.” Like every mom, I checked Pinterest and got to work!

Looking into the enchanted mirror

First I found some great ideas and started to get to work. Then my family and I hit the thrift stores to see what treasures awaited us.

Enchanted Rose

We found an old tea pot, silver clock and candlestick holders . The finishing touch was putting a rose in a glass jar and lighting it up with white lights. These props helped bring the movie to life.

Then my daughter dressed as Belle and had a photo shoot.

Nothing makes Belle happier than a good book

Our family loves to dress up. We each pick a character from the movie in order to serve our guests.

Once the guest arrived we started games.

Our first game was inspired by Sleeping Beauty. You lay pillows on the floor in a circle and play music as the girls walk around the circle. Then when the music stopped the girls dropped to the floor to sleep on a pillow. If they didn’t get a pillow they were out.

Next was freeze dance to the song “Let it Go” from Frozen.

Finally  we pampered the girls with a home spa treatment. We made avocado masks and put cucumbers on their eyes.

This was so much fun and I am so excited to think up a new theme for next year!
